"Excellent hotel with friendly staff"
We have just returned from a much needed holiday and the Queens Bay Hotel was the ideal place to stay. As this was our first holiday to cyprus, we were wondering what sort of place awaited us ..... and the answer was ...... lovely CLEAN, FRIENDLY, COMFORATABLE hotel, and the food was EXCELLENT !!! With lots to see and do for an 80p bus fare into either Pafos town or Coral bay.
As this was to be a 'relaxing holiday' for us we did not adventure too far, but we visited the 'Tombs of the kings' and the Ancient 'Mosaics' which were just a couple of the local interests that were really interesting.
We were so impressed with our holiday that we are planning another visit in October this year ................ and maybe see alot more of what this beautiful Island has to offer :-)

"Immaculate hotel with friendly staff"
Spent a week here and could not fault the accommodation or staff. Sea view well worth the extra for the sunsets. My mother came with us and although we booked and paid for a single for her, she was allocated a double directly across the corridor from us which was much appreciated.
Choice of food and quality excellent, meal times very civilised, restaurant staff attentive without being intrusive. Would have preferred wider choice of hot vegetables but salads varied.
Fabulous value for money and a relaxed atmosphere due to very professional staff.

"Pleasantly surprised"
After reading many of the reviews for Queen's Bay hotel I booked for the week 7 - 14 June. My husband and I arrived late on the first evening - well past midnight and were glad all was peace and quiet so we got a good night's sleep. The room was a lot more spacious than I expected. It would have been nice to have better toiletries in the bathroom. We had a sea view room on the ground floor which opened directly to the pool area. The gardens and pool area were really nice - no loud music during the day (or night)!!! The small beach area is very very small but you can go in for a swim if you're prepared to brave the cold sea water!
Breakfast was a buffet and I admit this could have been better - it paid to get there early as any time after 8am was really busy. The food could have been warmer and this was the only downside to our stay. Evening meals were also buffet style and were great value for money - £20 (cypriot) for a 4 course meal including a bottle of wine. Happy hour at the bar was very early (5 - 6pm) but with a gin and tonic only costing £1 we couldn't really complain. It is a bit disappointing that room service for food is only available until 5.30pm as we would have loved some late night snacks.
The public transport is very good - 80 cents into the town is a bargain and the bus stop is on the main road beside the supermarket and bar (Crazy Spoon). Would really recommend the Phuket - Chinese and Thai restaurant - they give you vouchers for money off entrance fee to the water park and also the Youkoso japanese restaurant where the chef cooks your food at your table teppanyaki style - a great night's entertainment.
It would appear that the majority of residents at this hotel are of a more mature age (late 50's and over) and there are very few families or young people. In saying that if you want a peaceful location with helpful staff the Queen's Bay Hotel is the place to stay.

"First time in Cyprus"
My partner & I have done quiete a bit of travelling over the last few years but had never been to Cyprus.
We picked the Queen's Bay Hotel on the strength of the reviews in Trip Advisor, & we are glad we did, OK it is for the more mature people (Hate that OAP term) but for relaxation, friendly & knowledgeable staff, good food, clean room & reasonable TV channels (PaphosTV is good for what's on, in English) all in all an excellent choice, would go again.

"Beautiful, Fantastic, great...what more can i say"
When i arrived at Queens bay in cyprus i was very surprised as it was more like a 4 star plus hotel than a 3 star. The hotel has a fantastic pool, Comfortable rooms, Average Gym, Large tennis Court, Pretty Bar and decent entertainment. The staff were very friendly and alway there to help, Ivan was a fantastic bonus to the bar area..charming, helpful and terribly entertaining...ladies you will no what i mean when you get there.
The hotel was abit out of the way meaning you had to catch the buses that come every half an hour or a taxi that costs about 10 euro to get into the town centre. The car hire across from the hotel a very good, i recommand them. Also the resterant acorss from the hotel serves the best breakfasts ever, at the fantastic price of 3 euros.
The night life in paphos is average but exceptable.
The paphos beach was small but pretty and i recommand a day or two there if you get the chance, water sports available at a small cost.
Best till last....GOSH THE FOOD...amazing, the thought now makes my mouth water stil now. They served everything for everybody and it is all you can eat buffet style. AMAZING AMAZING... thats all i can say...every nationatily would be happy with the selection.
If i was to reccomand this hotel to a certain age group it would be the over 30s if you want a relaxing holiday this is perfect! The hotel is situated abit out of the way for the youngests who like to party but its a fab hotel and always fab weathers so what else could you ask for.
